In leu of posting baby bargains this week, I wanted to share some other mommy money saving info with you. (If you want the bargains, you can check them out at Southern Savers)
Over the past few months, I've posted deals that involve shopping online using the Amazon Mom program, which allows members to set up subscriptions to baby products, like diapers and wipes. By doing so, you save an extra percentage off of your order. Through their purchases, Amazon Mom members used to earn Amazon Prime membership, which entitled you to free one day shipping on all baby related items.
This is no longer happening.
If you're already an Amazon Mom member (there's a wait list for membership), you still have access to subscribe and save discounts, but you will no longer be given Amazon Prime status. What this means for you, as far as I can tell, is that you should be aware that you might be paying shipping charges on your baby goods. When searching for deals, you might want to add an item to your cart and check the shipping before you make a purchase. If shipping costs are added in, your deal might not be as sweet as you had hoped.
