As Black Friday sales at big box stores have crept earlier and earlier, mall retailers have followed suit. Many stores at Southpoint (the mall in Durham) will be opening at midnight, including Gap, Banana Republic, and Macy's. Others, like JCPenney and Sears, will open their doors at 4:00 am.
