If you're thinking about starting to seriously coupon, tomorrow would be a great day to jump in! Most Sundays, you will find two coupon inserts in the paper - Smart Source and Red Plum. This Sunday, there will (possibly) be 6 inserts - Smart Source, Red Plum, Procter & Gamble, *Playskool, *Pepsi Co, and *General Mills!
Durham area shoppers --- If you plan to pick up papers this Sunday, be sure to purchase the Raleigh News & Observer. This paper has more coupon inserts than the Durham Herald Sun. As another tip, check your driveway for the free copy of the Durham Herald Sun that shows up in many neighborhoods on Wednesdays and Sundays. I used to throw this paper directly into the recycling, until I realized that it carries a Smart Source coupon insert....one extra insert, FREE!
Wisconsin shoppers - Unfortunately, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is NOT a great source for coupons. I have noticed that smaller papers, like the Sheboygan Press, carry more inserts.
I suggest purchasing multiple copies of the paper this week, given the unusual number of inserts (personally, I never buy more than four). You will also find that some deals require you to purchase more than one of an item to get the sale price or rewards dollars. (example - Buy 2 shampoos, get 2 Extra Bucks at CVS - your best deal would be to have one coupon for each shampoo.)
